When I responded to the Lord's voice, I asked, "What are you praying about?" Without hearing any words, I immediately knew three things on the Lord's prayer-list for this season. I knew Jesus was praying for the earth's poor to be shown mercy; he was praying for gospel workers to increase; and he was praying for the offspring of Abraham to repent.
Don't realize that Jesus still prays? What do you think he's been doing in heaven since his resurrection and exaltation awaiting his return to earth? He's praying for us! "He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7.25 NAS) Based on this verse, you could rightly say, Jesus lives to pray for you! What is he asking for? He wants you to be saved. He wants you to be set free. He wants you to walk by faith in fellowship with God.
Two scenes flashed before my mind's eye. In the first, I saw Christ on the cross, a vivid glimpse of majestic suffering which I have seen in a vision from God three different times in my life. Each time, I was profoundly affected and moved beyond words. My life literally took a different turn because of each of these revelations of my Lord.
The cross is the touchstone of history. It is the apex of demonstrated grace. It is the epitome of selfless love. It is the final proof of God's profound determination to redeem lost mankind and also evidence of his intention to ultimately give to Jesus the inheritance he deserves… the nations!
From the cross, I believe Jesus prayed for the nations. Psalms 22 contains the words that we know Jesus quoted as he neared death, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Bible scholars believe it is possible and even plausible? Jesus being a student of the Law who freely quoted the Old Testament? that he may have quoted aloud all of Psalm 22 as he hung dying in agony. Jesus certainly knew the Scripture well enough and was aware of his role in fulfilling it.
These verses include a powerful petition couched as a prophetic declaration of a finished work. "From You comes my praise in the great assembly. I shall pay my vows before those who fear Him. The afflicted will eat and be satisfied; those who seek Him will praise the Lord. Let your heart live forever! All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the earth will worship before You. For the kingdom is the Lord's and He rules over the nations. All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, all those who go down to the dust will bow down before Him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive. Posterity will serve Him; it will be told of the Lord to the coming generation. They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has performed it." Psalms 22.25-31 NAS
To Jesus, who saw the end from the beginning, the joy of the finished work on the cross made the pain of the ordeal worth it all. To the Father, to give to Jesus what he paid for on the cross is the least he can do for an obedient Son who is asking for his inheritance. For us as believers, the symphony of the Spirit will crescendo as we are enlisted into the same prayer the Son of God is praying-- for salvation to break out in all its earth-shaking ramifications all over the globe as millions turn away from sin and seek the only Savior.

Bible Reminder :
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ".
