MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are we Christian?
...Yes.
Are we Catholic?
...Yes and no. We observe many catholic traditions but our doctrine is protestant. "Catholic" means "Universal".
We are catholic but not Roman Catholic.
Do we drink wine in church?
...Yes. Part of our service is communion (Eucharist). We eat bread and drink wine (just a sip). For those who do not care for wine it is perfectly acceptable to receive the bread only.
Why do we pray for dead people?
...We don’t pray for their physical body. We begin another life after our body dies. We live, learn, grow, and experience
new things "on the other side." Wouldn’t you want someone to remember you and pray for your well being? I know I would.
What is Eucharist?
...It’s another word for communion. It is Greek for "thanksgiving." Our service is centered around the Eucharist.
How long is our service?
...About an hour.
Are we multi-racial?
...Yes. We accept all races and all denominational backgrounds.
Do we worship "Mary" and other saints?
...No. However, some of us like to ask them to pray for us.
Why do priests wear robes?
...The priest wears a chasuble. It is like a uniform for his particular "office."
Are priests celibate?
...Only Roman Catholic priests take the vow of celibacy. Anglican (Episcopal) priests are allowed to marry.
