About us

Widnes Baptist Church was established at the end of the 19th century. Although our origins go back over 100 years, we are looking forward to continuing our mission in the 21st century. Today the Church remains a living community of people of all ages seeking to explore God's plans for the world and to serve the community near and far.

We are a group of ordinary people who seek to follow Jesus Christ. In Jesus we find meaning and purpose to our lives, and we seek to serve and care for YOU in his name.
We are a family church and welcome everyone to be part of this family. There are many opportunities to meet people and also to discover the ‘reality’ of a life-transforming relationship with Jesus.
We are a small community but with a vision to grow. New people have been visiting us and some of them have decided to join us.
Our Aim is to be Christians in a practical way. Together we shall make every effort to fulfil our mission and to serve you by being open, outgoing and welcoming.
