UPDATE ON JOYCE September 2008 Nancy Joyce went to the doctor and has been set free from any other Chem at this time. She had 5 of the 6 treatments and will not have to have the sixth one right now. Her blood test are OK with the exception of low potassium which she is under medication for now. She will follow up with blood tests in a month or so and also will have a mammogram later this month to make sure the other breast is clear. We are thankful for this report and would as that you would continue to pray for the upcoming test and also that her strength would return (along with her hair.) It will be exciting to see what color her hair returns as and also if there is a change in type of hair (curly, straight, etc).
Over the week-end we evacuated for hurricane IKE and went to Mississippi. We got to visit a couple of the churches that has been praying for us and thank them in person. Joyce got to sing and minister in song. We hope to be able to visit other churches that are close to where we live and express our gratitude to them also.

The Blind Man...
One day, there was a blind man sitting on the steps
of a building with a hat by his feet and a sign that
read: "I am blind, please help."
A creative publicist was walking by and stopped to
observe. He saw that the blind man had only a few
coins in his hat. He dropped in more coins and,
without asking for permission, took the sign and
rewrote it.
He returned the sign to the blind man and left. That
afternoon the publicist returned to the blind man
and noticed that his hat was full of bills and
coins.
The blind man recognized his footsteps and asked if
it was he who had rewritten his sign and wanted to
know what he had written on it.
The publicist responded: "Nothing that was not true.
I just wrote the message a little differently." He
smiled and went on his way.
The new sign read: "Today is Spring and I cannot
see it."
Sometimes we need to change our strategy. If we
always do what we've always done, we'll always get
what we've always gotten.
And remember too, sometimes it's not WHAT we say,
it's HOW we say it!!

The U in Jesus!
Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.
You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
"Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U."
So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.
Will YOU pass it on.

VS
This gave me something to think about. How about you.
Psalms 119:11 "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee"
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
What if we upgraded it to get the latest version?
This is something to make you go...hmmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing....
Unlike our cellphones, we don't ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill
