~HOW TO STUDY YOUR BIBLE~
Think about what you think the
Scripture is saying:
Reread the whole Chapter to determine:
Who is the speaker ?
Who is he talking to ?
What is he trying to teach them ?
This gives me a clear picture in my mind
of what was happening at the time Jesus was speaking.
If you don't understand a word, Look it up
in the Dictionary.
(I use Vine's Complete Expository
Dictionary & sometimes a
cheap $1.00 one I purchased at the Dollar
Store.)
Check the same scripture out in
different Bible version's but
They will take you to different verses that go along with this same verse.
Running References
Most Bible's have Scriptures
written down in the middle of the Bible,
These are called references.
For instance, the below
Scripture
Matthew
In my Bible there is a small a:
in front of Come, this will take you to:
John
John
John
Can you see how the reference
clears the above scripture.
This way of Bible study Has caused me to understand the Bible much better.
Always pray to ask the Holy
Spirit to reveal what he wants to, into your mind.
He loves us & has sent us
his very own Word to help us get to know him.
That is what Jesus desires for
us to do :
To fellowship with Him.
