Cross\Bars Update

"To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death" Luke 1:79

Dear Co-Laborers for Christ,

We want to first of all thank you for your support both financially and for your prayers as we continue to serve God in the jails and prisons.

We had the opportunity in March to update West Salem Baptist Church (one of our supporting churches) and to present the ministry to First Baptist Church in New Lisbon. The church in New Lisbon is starting a jail ministry at a prison.

The Sunday night service at Redgranite went very well. I preached on Numbers 13:30-33, about the giants and how they can destroy our lives if we fail to see that Christ is the only answer. During the invitation we had 22 men stand and ask Christ to save them; what a blessing that was! We are seeing some of these men now on Monday nights for Bible study.

The study at the Fond du Lac County Jail continues to go well. We have about 5 ladies and two groups of men on the Sundays we are there. We ask that you will pray for a lady named Angie, who is going through some tough times right now with lots of issues in her life. The Tuesday night studies at the Dodge County Jail are seeing the numbers down a bit, but they have been moving inmates around and some to other facilities. We are doing a study series on prayer at both places.

This month, Joy and I will be celebrating our 34th anniversary on April 13th. I thank God for bringing her into my life!

Please continue to pray for us as we minister to those in need behind the walls of the jails and prisons. I believe God is doing a great work in the places we are ministering at each week and month. Also, pray that the roofing job I mentioned in the last letter would go well.

In Christ,
Dennis & Joy

The Rock Bible Baptist Church is very grateful to be the sending
church of Cross/Bars Prison Ministry. This local church work has
been here in Wisconsin serving our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
since 1985. Our goal and purpose has not changed. To see souls
saved and lives changed. We have a strong emphasis on teaching
and preaching from God's word the Bible (KJV--only) We have a strong
conservative stand that holds to biblical standards in
separation from the world. We do not compromise God's word nor God's music.

Cross/Bars Prison Ministry is a firm example of the stands
and beliefs of this church. Chaplain Dennis Groll has a God-given
burden to seek the lost within our incarcerated men and women.
He also has the patience to help them to grow through the
many Bible studies that he holds at County and State Institutions.
Chaplain Groll, his family and his ministry are a very welcome
asset not only to the Lord, but to this local New Testament church.

PASTOR JOE MCGEE
