MORE THAN 50, 000 PEOPLE
WORSHIP AT EDISON FIELD, ANAHEIM CALIFORNIA
The Edison field stadium
was shaking on Saturday 8/29/98.
I know I was there,
along with a few of my friends from our church. It was supposed to be a
youth night but even the adults liked it. Yes, the rumors are true, the
music was very, very loud.
The stadium was packed, with
5,000 or more outside the stadium. We were on one of the upper levels straight
across from the huge wide screen, even with the special sections for season
ticket holders. All eyes were riveted on that screen as images of this
and other crusades flashed before us. Testimonies were shown about how
lives had been influenced and changed by the crusades.
Before the music started different
sections were yelling, "We love Jesus, how about you." Than the Kry came
out ( a little early even) and the crusade was under way.
Buy the time Greg Laurie came
to give the message the crowd had shaken Edison field. Our level was shaking
like a minor tremor was taking place, but we new the stadium was well constructed.
You could see it and feel it move and if you looked up you could see the
one above move slightly.
The message,
After the message the Kry sang
while 1000's of people left their seats and streamed down to the field
to give their lives to the Lord or rededicate them.
At the same time people in
the stands prayed for them and others and could not believe the number
of people going down to the field. The Lord was really working in peoples
lives this night.
People from many denominations
donated their time and efforts to make this crusade a success. Although
I only went on Saturday night I would have to say it was a tremendous success.
