HAPPINESS - BEING IN GOD'S HOUSE.
50 Years ago, my maternal grand father went home to be with the Lord.
Maybe it would not be  believed today, but not once did I ever go to the church with him in a car. Walked up there though, rode horseback and he usually took us after he hitched up his wagon and team. When I have gone back to that old country road, it seems to me - if I listen close enough - that I can at times hear the clippity-clop of his horses' hooves and the clinking of harness trace chains.
More important than all of that though, He taught God's Word in a certain eloquence. In two languages. It was very easy for him to sit me at his breakfast table and have morning devotional with he and my grandmother. On Sundays, he would be at the grand table of Sabbath like we are today, only he would be standing by our non-kiowa indian pastor so that he could interpret God's Word. Elder kiowa indians - very much senior to him - did not know any English at all. Those elders sat at rapt attention, and from the Holy Bible - the very same word that you and I read all the time and from where the pastor has drawn his pastoral message, learned about God.
This Sabbath - A new and beautifully blessed day given to us by the father - brings me to this pew and place that we all come to, to worship together. My absence from here for awhile, recalls these passages to from the book of psalms.
84:2: "My soul longeth, Yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God."
122:1: "I was glad when the said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord."

His Word - more meaningful every day because we as a people have come through and are going through some very extraordinary times - has remained the same. Eons ago, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, Forever; Timeless into Eternity.
Since stepping from the running Baptismal waters of so very long ago, I have sinned, fallen short and failed Him many times. Too many times, but never, never has he ever turned me away, cause His ear not to hear or his eyes to see. To come to His House has always been open to me, just as it has always been to everyone. Before this Sabbath fully came into view - starlight having gone through the morning mists and beyond - I looked to now: To this time to be in God's house. It is of great happiness to me, Thank You LORD.
