How to start a HOME SCHOOL
(1.) Ask to be under the auspices of your church education ministry.
(2.) Pick a suitable curriculum.( I recommend ACE or Alpha & Omega)
(3.) Find a QUIET place to have school. Use kitchen table or separate room.
(4.) Use a GOOD record keeping system. Have church keep records too. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
My son who entered the Marines needed transcripts!!!
Use a 3 RING BINDER. Calendar, grades, attendance etc.
(5.) Put housework aside and devote time to children.
(6.) Make sure to know state's Home School regulations - Check on Internet.
(7.) Keep family involved with local church.
(8.) Use my links page for important info.

How to start a HOME BASED BUSINESS
(1.) Find a suitable interest and research it. Suggestions: crafts, bookkeeping, word processing, etc.
Check on Internet for HOME BASED businesses.
(2.) Investment should be minimal to start - first profits go to repay investment.
(3.) Good record keeping system is necessary for a successful business.
(4.) Use one room or area for business in home - use containers,etc. to keep business separate from other things.
(5.) ADVERTISE - word of mouth, newspaper, flyers, etc.
(6.) Discuss with family the idea and go from there.
**MOMS you can do both- Home School and have a Business at Home.

I call it Keepsake - I will be selling them yearly at our Ladies Seminar in September!
I teach Children's Church and play the organ at church.
And I am still a STAY AT HOME WIFE!!
