The Fascinating Oscillating
Reaction Kit
| Make a solution and watch it change to amber then to blue purple and back to colorless. Watch as it repeats the color cycle again and again. The oscillating reaction is one of the most amazing of all chemical reactions. Do experiments to learn how it works and discover its mechanism.
Contains malonic acid (5 g), manganese sulfate (1 g), sodium iodate (5 g), sodium thiosulfate (10 g), sulfamic acis (5 g), starch solution (20 mL), wooden rack, pipet, stirrers, spoon, small scoops, cups and instructions.
Hydrogen peroxide (3 %) is required, but not included.
Recommended for ages 12 and up with adult supervision. Warning: This kit is safe when used as directed, but it contains chemicals that may be harmful if misused!

Instant Snow Polymer
When this granular white powder is added to water, it instantly expands to 40 times its
original volume, producing a snow-like material.
Great for showing that there is No Law of Conservation of Volume!
This artificial "snow" is fluffy and can be readily poured.
When wet, it adheres well to boots and is very slippery.
It was used in Steven Spielberg's mini-series, Band of Brothers and is becoming popular as an
artificial base for skiers. It even can be used to turn white wine into snow ... hmmm!
You can carry almost two cubic meters of snow in your briefcase; just add water!
This is a great new demonstration of interest to students and educators of
ALL ages and abilities.

1/4 pound; enough for the whole class. Includes booklet with several experiments. Only $9.95

Fortune-Telling Fish
| Actually a very thin piece of red cellophane in the shape of a 3.5-inch long fish, this amazing innovation twists and curls when placed in the palm of your hand. It seems to move magically, different for different people. The truth is, it is sensitive to the moisture of your hand. An old favorite of demonstrators.
