Do You Know Jesus?

Who was this man, Jesus? Some say He was a prophet, while others agree He was a "good" man. Jesus asked His disciples, "Who do YOU say that I am?" Peter replied, "You are the Christ; the Son of the Living God." What do we say when Jesus asks each of us, "Who do YOU say that I am?"

God had a purpose for coming into this world in the flesh before He ever created the earth. We don't understand His ways, but they are best. He is teaching us, just as we teach our children, to love even when it is hardest, to be responsible even when we don't feel like it, to serve others when we would rather be catered to, and to give up our rights to ourselves, and put our trust in our Father's plan.

Jesus came to show us "the Way, the Truth, and the Life". He is God. He knows how we feel- how we hurt, how we are disappointed, how we want more for our families, and how we think in our "heart of hearts". He doesn't want to make our life a bed of roses. We wouldn't last against the storms very well if we were only a fragile flower. But He did promise that He would weather the storms of life with us. He promised never to leave or forsake us. When you read God's word, you'll find out that He has never lied or broken a promise. Then, you'll know you can trust Him -- always.
