Steps to Christ

Receiving Christ is easy. It only requires an open and sincere heart.

"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved."

Romans 10:9

And then you need to pray. Prayer is simply talking with God.

"For with the heart one believes to rightesousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation."

Romans 10:10

Your prayer could go something like this:

"Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the person You want me to be."

If you have spoken those words, than you are a Christian. Welcome to the Family of God!

You may be wondering, "What do I do now?"

1. Find a local Bible-believing church.

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as in the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

Hebrews 10:25

2. Read Your Bible.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
2 Timothy 3:16-17
