The reality of death is probably the most frightening part of life. No one wants to talk about it. No one even wants to think about it. While we cannot avoid this reality, there is one who did - Jesus Christ. His sole purpose when He walked this earth some 2,000 years ago, was to die in the most gruesome fashion known to man, hanging on the cross. The only reason He did it was for us. Since the days of Adam, man has been separated from God due to sin, and that was a reality the Father could not stand. So He sent His only Son.
Did you know...God knows EVERYTHING there is to know about you, right down to how many hairs you have on your head...and He STILL gave His Son for you.
However, if that were where the story ended, we would still be separated from God. When they took His body from the cross, they laid Him in a tomb and sealed it. Three days later, the tomb was found empty. Only the linen they wrapped Him in could be found. Jesus had risen from the dead!!!
Please don't ignore these words. Don't walk away saying "I'll accept Jesus tomorrow". Tomorrow may be too late. Maybe you won't be here tomorrow. Maybe the Lord will be back tonight because that's the other part of His glorious promise - His iminent return.
