February had long since been known as a month for
romance but who was Valentine's Day named after? Well, one legend
has it that there was a man named Saint Valentine who, while imprisoned,
fell in love with his jailor's daughter who came to visit him. Before
he died, it is said that he wrote her a final letter signed, "From your
Valentine." Someone somewhere picked up on it and it is still being
said today! Ok, that's just a theory! ;) Whatever the reason,
it is a sweet holiday that I cherish each year...especially since I
have a "Valentine" of my very own!
