Statement of Faith

1. The Holy Bible:

We believe that the Bible is the Word of the living God. All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim. 3:16

2. One and Only True God:

We believe there is only one true God. God is a Spirit, infinite in being, glory, blessedness, and perfection. He is eternal, unchangeable, incomprehensible, and all-sufficient. He is maker of heaven and earth (Gen 1:1). He is Godhead of the trinity.

The Trinity:

The Father: God is the Father of His Son, Jesus Christ (2 Cor 1:3), and the Father of all men in the restricted sense of being our Creator (Luke 3:38; Acts 17:28).

The Son: We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased." Mt. 3:17 And For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that who so ever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (Also see Mt. 12:8, 14:33, 16:16, Gal. 4:4, 1 Jn. 2:23) We believe Jesus is the First and the Last (Rev. 1:17), The Alpha and Omega (Rev. 1:8), The Beginning and the End (Rev. 21:6) And the light of the world (John 8:12)

The Holy Spirit: The third person of the trinity. The Holy Spirit indwells and seals every believer. (John 14:16, 17; Rom. 8:9-16, 1 Cor. 3:16, Eph. 1:13, 14) And glorifies Christ Jesus (Eph. 16:13, 14)

3. The Virgin Birth:

The virgin birth of Christ is a necessary link in the whole golden chain of marvels that cluster around the person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ. To deny the fundamental fact of Christ's sinless conception is to invalidate all the other glorious realities of His unique career. His virgin birth is implicit in the first redemption prophecy, which specifies the Seed of the woman (Gen 3:15). Isaiah clearly foretold Christ's virgin birth in the great messianic sign of Isaiah 7:14. This involved the miracle of the virgin birth because it was divinely given-- "the Lord Himself" gave it. The child's name, Immanuel, means "with us" (humanity), "is God" (trinity), thereby declaring Christ's incarnation. All references to Christ in the New Testament presuppose Him to be God incarnate, possessing a sinless human body generated in the womb of the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35).

Also see Luke 1:16-38, Lk. 2:1-20; Mt. 1:18-25

4. The Crucifixion

We believe Jesus was innocently crucified for the sin of the world. (Gal. 5:12-20) He came to shed innocent blood for the Salvation and redemption of His children. He committed His Spirit into the hands of God that we may be forgiven. Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit. Luke 23:46

5. The First Resurrection

We believe after Jesus died on the cross for us, He rose again! For the Word says, I am the living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever! Rev. 1:8 and, "The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again." Luke 24:7
