WHAT
IS
PRAISE AND WORSHIP?
Praise and Worship to me is getting into oneness with the Lord and to give myself whole-heartedly to love and to minister unto him.
We do this by thanking him for what he has done, and continues to do, for us; by praising and glorifying him for who he is; by giving honor and glory to his holy name; by confessing our love for him; and acknowledging his love for us.
There are different forms and variations to Praise and Worship.
One is to minister unto him in a song, by singing testimonies of his wonderous works that he has performed; or singing songs of praises unto him, exalting him for who he is; also songs of thanksgiving, thanking him for what he has done; and love songs, to declare unto him how much we really love him.
Another form of Praise and Worship is to rejoice in him, with shouts of acclamation and proclamation, such as Hallelujah and Glory to God.
Dancing before the Lord is another variation of Praise and Worship unto the Lord. It's giving expression to the freedom he has given us to bask in his love, and for the joy he has put in our hearts. It lets him see that we have joy in him, and that pleases the Lord.
You can also Praise and Worship him in prayer, with WORD confessions, by quoting his WORD back to him, declaring what he has said. Please him by letting him know that you have studied to show thyself approved. True Worship is being consecrated to God.
