Lilac City Bible Fellowship is a ministry of Jesus Christ enlisting His people for praise to Christ, intercession, public testimony, and community service. Our weekly Sunday worship is held in Lilac Plaza Retirement Home's auditorium at 10am. Submit your prayer requests, invitations, and offers in the exercise of your spiritual gifts [1 Cor. 12:27-31] to pastor Bruce Wakeman by e-mail.

Also, as a part of our American Family Association group I have been enlisting Christian volunteers to help hold our city to a higher standard of Godliness and morality than it has now. Salt of Christ that keeps people from corruption, and light in Christ - that exposes sin as the deathly evil it is - are needed to keep us from self-destruction [Mt.7:13-14]. Abortion, gambling, special rights for homosexuals, TV sleaze and pornography are some of the vices we are countering [Eph.6:12]. Lawlessness causes hearts to grow cold [Mt.24:14], but the triumph of Christ in righteousness restores hearts to life [2 Thes.3:5]. Perhaps these computers will help us as people of Christ to magnify the gospel of Christ's redemption. Click the e-mail button below to inquire as to a way you might help as a volunteer.

Our Savior authoritatively quotes from Abraham, Moses, David, Isaiah and the most godly persons of all the ages. Can we understand the meaning of sayings of people of GOD who lived as much as 4,000 years ago? Jesus Christ is our first source interpreter of Scripture for GOD says of Him, "This is MY Son whom I love, listen to Him [Mt.17:5]." The Scriptures mean, and all things mean, what Jesus Christ the Messiah says they mean. Jesus Himself was there when those early prophets lived their lives ["Before Abraham was, I Am" - John 8:58]. He lives still [Hebrews 7:25] to bring many sons to glory [Heb.2:10]. Christ is preparing a place in heaven for us that we may live with Him where He lives [Jn.14:2-3]. The Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth [John 16:13] as we learn to be attuned to our Savior's voice [Jn.10:4]. It is not a pastor's role to tell you what to believe, but to help you to strongly express WHO you believe [1 Cor.14:24-25].

Trust in the LORD with all thy heart and do not lean unto your own understanding. -6- In all your way acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight (direct your paths) [Proverbs 3:5-6]. Man shall live by every word that comes from the mouth of GOD [Mt.4:4]. Jesus prays "Sanctify them by the Truth; YOUR Word is Truth [Jn.17:17]." No scripture had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from GOD as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Call to Worship: __Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart -5- Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this [Ps.37:4-5]. Turn off the TV, set aside books that are checked out at a library. Focus singularly on getting to know how to live with Christ as your Master. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see GOD [Matthew 5:8]. The carnal mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit of GOD is life and peace [Romans 8:6].

We ought always to pray and not give up or lose heart [Luke 18:1]. Due to lawlessness (lack of understanding of GOD's message) hearts grow cold [Mt.24:12]. As we repent and turn to GOD, who is love [1Jn. 4:7-8], our sins are wiped out and times of refreshing come from the LORD [Acts 3:19].

A united house on the foundation of Christ [Mt.7:24-25] stands. Christ prays that we will all be of one [Jn.17:21] mind [Romans 15:6]. The Holy Spirit unites us in the mind of Christ [John 14:25]. But a divided house falls [Mt.12:25]. To have a family that will not fall apart, or a neighborhood, or a city, state, nation, or world - that will not self-destruct - we all have to raise the level of our mutual agreement by learning from a common source and authority.

Christ says, "Serve the LORD thy GOD and HIM only shall you serve [Mt.4:10]." We participate in our families, in our churches, in our business, in the programs of our government [Romans 13], and in beneficial associations as ambassadors with Christ [2 Cor.5:20] to extend the compassion and love of GOD to everyone [Mt.28:18-20]. It is not diversity (cut into verses) that helps people learn to live together in harmony. It is Godliness. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to all peoples [Proverbs 14:34]. This is why our national motto says, "One Nation Under GOD".

Unless we have Christ in us to overcome sin, we are mastered by sin. To live a life that brings us into immortality [1 Cor.15:53] in heaven rather than to perpetual torture, we must be born again [Jn.3:3-6] by GOD's own Holy Spirit.

Each time we vote in an election, so that everyone is aware that we do not want leaders who are insubordinate to their Savior, we have a write-in candidate: Jesus Christ in the Messianic party for the office of King [Phil.2:9-11].

Free sermons to any who will do as Christ has commissioned [Mt.28:18-20]. Bring healing where there is entrophy. What topic or doctrine do you want? Freely I have received from Christ (paid by the cost of His suffering and sacrifice), freely I will give [Mt.10:8].
