The Christian-Adopt e-mail list was conceived in 1996 for the purpose of support and encouragement for those involved in adoption in the Christian community. In addition to adoptive families, we also welcome birth parents, persons who were adopted as children, pastors, and those working in pregnancy counseling to join our discussions of adoption from a Biblical perspective. At a click of a button, a question or a prayer request can be sent automatically to everyone subscribed to this list. Wherever you are in the adoption process you can find encouragement here from others who have been where you are now. No matter what your particular situation, chances are someone subscribed to the list can be of help and encouragement to you because they have also been there! There are approximately 130 subscribers to Christian-Adopt and the families represented here have a wide range of experiences in all kinds of adoptions. Available to all subscribers is an exhaustive list of archives including adoption resources and encouraging family adoption stories.

After you click on subscribe you will be rerouted to a response message. To return to the list just click on your "back" browser button. You will be sent a response message from the list owner later (hopefully in a timely manner) asking for a family autobiography and for you to agree with Christian-Adopt's statement of faith prior to being approved. This information is used by the list owner to screen those interested in subscribing to our list. We are all Christians and it is our hope that this list will support and encourage others and thus promote unity among Christians involved in adoption. After you are approved as a member of the list a copy of your biography will be sent to the other members so that we can get to know you better unless you prefer that it is not. All the member biographies are archived as a resource and are available ONLY to those subscribed to the list.
