They went with Jesus to the garden while He prayed
He knelt in anguish as He soon would be betrayed
But they were sleeping when they should have been watching
They didn't know what was to come
If I had been there would I have done any better
Would I have knelt beside Him and held His trembling hand
Would I have helped Him bear His burden on that day
Or like the others failed to under stand
Beaten and bleeding He was led up calvary's hill
He gave His life there for it was His fathers will
Some people were weeping while others were laughing
