Church Planting is our fourth Pillar.
Paul wrote, "...Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her..."(Ephesians 5:25). And, Jesus stated in Matthew 16:18, "...I will build my church...".
The Church is the institution, the Body, for which Christ gave His life. Our desire is to build churches that will build churches...reproducing themselves...worshiping...evangelizing...discipling...ministering...fellowshipping.
In times past, it was thought we needed buildings, large resources, and land in order to build a church. Not so! We may have churches, meeting in homes, with as little as three families meeting together. These will be P.O.R.C.H. churches.
This means we will need to train national church planters to work with Christ to build His Church.
Leaders will need to be trained through the use of materials from such sources as Jim Brock, Charles Brock, Navigators, Bibleway, etc.
Concentrated training events will be conducted in retreats/camps for leadership using volunteers, missionaries, and national leaders.
New leaders will be trained in the ordinances of a Baptist Church.
We will use means such as "True Love Waits" campaigns that are culturally adaptable; Marriage enrichment; Parenting-each of these would be a platform to determine the possibility of starting small group Bible studies that will develop into house churches.
Will this happen overnight? Probably not. But, by planning ahead we may be able to hasten some of the steps to growing a church.
