![]() I changed our doves the other day and noticed that one of the little "mommies" had laid an egg again. They're older now, (fifteen years to be exact) and no longer care to give the nurturing that is required to hatch the Creation from within them. I touched it, and the egg was cold -so I knew they had not been truly tending it.But doves are interesting creatures. When younger, they take turns caring for the nest, and then the hatchling: not so different from us humans in the raising of our little ones, and our Dreams! And as I touched the egg, it was that thought (how much like these gentle bits of white feathers we are) that touched my heart! Do you have a Dream? Would you like to see it come true? Are you willing to work hard at it? What is it worth to you to see your Dream turn into a vibrant, viable, visible reflection of your Hope, Work -and Commitment? How great are your Dreams? Are they as high as the sky? Or do your Dreams only reach to the clouds above us? How high do you want to fly? Because we are all given Wings! If you could do what you had always longed to do, what would it be? What's stopping you? Before you say finances, THINK! While it may be true that nothing in this world is for "free", in essence, everything is free: because this earth was created for us to experience LIFE! The air is yours to breathe, the sunshine -yours for the enjoyment, the rain belongs to you to wash away your cares. If you have hands, you have the dexterity to write, or hold objects. If you have eyes to see, there is beauty in the snowflake and the flower alike. If you can only hear, the earth sings its Melody of Love endlessly! If you cannot see or hear, there is a Presence in the Soul that the Angels attend, and a Oneness with the Universe that defies words. How passionate is your Dream? Because you cannot feel only lukewarm and expect your Dream to come true! Indeed, the world, by Its very Order "spits out" those who are only "lukewarm". (Revelation 3:15, 16) It is not enough for us to simply "wish" for something, and then watch, as those who are vigilant, acquire those things that we desire! No ... everything worth having in Life requires Passion and Effort! Because it isn't just the "getting" that matters, but what we are willing to experience along the way; for it is the experiences that continue to both fire, and polish, us! Are you ready to "hatch" your dream? Has the "sphere" of it taken shape? Are you willing to work hard to see it to fruition? Or will you (like the doves) roll your Dream to the side of your world and simply say to it, "hatch"? Truly, it cannot, and will not, happen in such a manner.! ~~~ Remember your first car? Anyone can be given a car. But remember the first car you bought with your own money? Ahhhh ...nothing can compare! The work! The Joy! The Self-satisfaction! You checked endlessly under the hood to make sure everything was in proper working order! You polished and waxed it with a devotion that floored the world! And you made certain that no one that was likely to hurt it came near, if you could help it! That's the Devotion you must develop toward your Dream! To birth a Dream, you must work it, and do so on a consistant, daily basis! And share your Dreams with others you trust: they may know someone, or some way, to see it come true that you have not considered! If you keep your Dream to yourself, it may die; because Dreams are like Love: they need to be shared to expand! If you hold your Dream to yourself, you guard it too jealously. And jealousy will claim as its first victim, the thing you hold most dear: your Dream! Remember: competition in business, ideas, or a Dream, is the Lifeblood to the same! None of us lives in a vacuum! What affects one, effects all! Your Dream is your vehicle to Success (however you view "Success"!). But you must polish, refine and check "under the hood" of your Dream with vigilance! Never mind your age -you will always be too young, or too old! Age is only a number. What matters far more is your Commitment to your Dream. Are you willing to work as hard as you can to pursue God's Gift to you? Then ... Sweet Dreams! -Diana Lynn Tritch |
